HONG KONG, October 28, 2021 — The world tour continues for "KAWS:HOLIDAY," and its seventh stop is set for the Lion City: Singapore! Since kicking off in Seoul in 2018, the "KAWS:HOLIDAY" world tour has made highly acclaimed stops in Taipei, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK, and even outer space.
This November, KAWS is once again teaming up with his long-time collaborator, organizer, and curator AllRightsReserved, with support from the Singapore Tourism Board, to bring a massive new COMPANION sculpture to the heart of the metropolis at The Float @ Marina Bay.
The iconic COMPANION character for "KAWS:HOLIDAY" Singapore will debut in a brand-new form. This time, the massive 42-meter-long figure is seen in a relaxed, reclining pose, embracing a miniature version of itself for the first time as it gazes up at the sky, finding a moment of tranquility amidst the bustling city. The exhibition will run from November 13 to 21 at The Float @ Marina Bay, marking the final major event at the landmark venue before its redevelopment in March 2022. KAWS himself will be making his first-ever visit to Singapore to attend the opening day and witness the launch of the "KAWS:HOLIDAY" Singapore exhibition.
KAWS states, "At a time when international travel is still a challenge for many, I am grateful for the opportunity to bring art experiences to different localities, and am excited to be visiting Singapore for the first time."
