US toy giant Hasbro recently announced an ambitious "Ghostbusters"-themed project: a full 1:1 scale prop replica of the iconic "Spengler’s Proton Pack"! If this HasLab project reaches its funding goal, the highly anticipated replica is slated for a Spring 2023 release.
Embracing the idea that "not every grandpa leaves behind a fully functional, super cool piece of high-tech equipment," Hasbro, in collaboration with Sony and Ghost Corps, has meticulously designed this exquisite replica based on Egon Spengler's iconic Proton Pack from the films. This allows fans to own an incredible piece of gear, even without a scientist grandpa! Every detail, from the booster and pump to the shock mount and even the cyclotron (which opens to reveal internal mechanisms), has been faithfully recreated. Furthermore, the pack features two distinct sound and light modes, letting you relive the classic 1984 "Ghostbusters" experience and the updated 2021 "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" scenarios!
