It's cleaning time! Japanese toy manufacturer Phat! (株式会社ファット・カンパニー), renowned for its high-quality bishoujo figure series, is set to release a 1/6 scale figure of Emilico (エミリコ), the protagonist from the popular series "Shadows House" (シャドーハウス)! The figure is slated for a February 2023 release.
The series "Shadows House" (シャドーハウス) is created by the Japanese duo Somato (ソウマトウ), consisting of Nori (responsible for original story and design) and Hisshi (responsible for art). It began serialization in Weekly Young Jump's 40th issue in 2018. The first season of the anime adaptation aired from April to July 2021, spanning 13 episodes, with a second season already slated for production. The story unfolds in a mysterious mansion inhabited by the aristocratic "Shadows family" (シャドー一族). These faceless, soot-shedding beings are served by dedicated "Living Dolls," who appear human and are seemingly born to attend to the Shadows' every need.
Emilico, one of the protagonists, initially appears in the original story as an unnamed Living Doll maid. She possesses a cheerful and innocent personality, taking immense pride in serving her mistress, the Shadow family member Kate (ケイト), whom she adores. Even her name was bestowed upon her by Kate. Despite her diligence, Emilico is often clumsy and prone to mistakes. She shares a strong bond with Kate, learning a great deal from her. While serving Kate, Emilico also befriends other Living Dolls within the mansion and gradually senses the many strange occurrences within the grand estate.
This Phat! figure of Emilico is meticulously crafted in 1/6 scale, standing approximately 24 cm tall. It faithfully recreates Emilico's appearance as a Living Doll maid from the original series, complete with her cleaning tools and bucket. The "Little Bread" doll pattern on her apron and her bright, cheerful expression are all perfectly reproduced. Even the water inside the bucket is rendered with clear parts, capturing the dynamic moment just before it spills. The base is specially designed with a checkered floor pattern, perfectly matching the atmosphere of the Shadows House.
