Japanese model maker Art Spirits has announced the latest addition to its collectible monster figure line, the "Gekizo Series Mechagodzilla," slated for a May 2022 release.
The "Gekizo Series" collectible monster figures are renowned for their intricate sculpting within a compact 10 cm (approximately 3.9 inches) size. Each figure captures the monsters' rough skin textures, spiky details, and powerful stances with impressive precision. The paint applications are also of a high standard, faithfully reproducing the original creature designs. With superior sculpting and paintwork compared to typical candy toy or capsule figures, each piece is priced at 2,178 JPY.
This new "Gekizo Series Mechagodzilla" lineup brings together six iconic iterations of Mechagodzilla, spanning the Showa and Heisei eras from 1974 to 2018. The collection features Mechagodzillas from films such as "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla," "Terror of Mechagodzilla," "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II," "Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla," "Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S.," and "GODZILLA: City on the Edge of Battle." Each figure meticulously recreates the intricate mechanical structures and armor designs, with some even including interchangeable parts to display their various weapon systems!
