Kotobukiya, the renowned Japanese toy company, today announced the latest addition to its popular Bishoujo plastic model kit series, "Frame Arms Girl": the "HANDSCALE Baselard Animation Ver." This new kit is slated for release in April 2022.
The Frame Arms Girl "Baselard" is based on the aerial combat Frame Arms mecha of the same name, originally designed by Takayuki Yanase. She is depicted as an innocent young girl with long blonde hair and a petite, "loli-type" physique. Her distinctive head antennas and costume design incorporate charming "bunny girl" characteristics. Baselard excels in aerial combat; her back-mounted armaments not only enable high-mobility flight but also feature powerful beam weapons. This particular product is crafted based on her anime appearance, where Baselard's personality shines even brighter. She's portrayed as innocent, knowledgeable, yet also childishly willful, often serving as a mischievous instigator.
The highly popular anime version of Baselard is now being re-released, this time as a HANDSCALE palm-sized model with a body measuring just 76mm tall. Despite her diminutive stature, this petite body boasts over 20 points of articulation. The kit includes two pre-painted face parts, two unpainted face parts for custom decals, various interchangeable hand parts, and a complete set of her signature aerial combat armaments. Collectors can look forward to dynamic posing with her highly flexible body and cool armed forms!
