Following their previous release, the Kurumi Tokisaki New Year Cheongsam Ver., based on the light novel-turned-mobile game "Date A Live: Spirit Pledge," toy brand APEX-TOYS is now launching a new addition to the series: the Tohka Yatogami New Year Cheongsam Ver. 1/7 scale figure. Priced at 16,280 JPY, it is slated for release in September 2022.
Tohka Yatogami, a popular character from the "Date A Live" (デート・ア・ライブ) light novel series written by Kōshi Tachibana, is a mysterious Spirit girl who appeared alongside a massive explosion, possessing no name and having lost all memories related to herself. She was named Tohka (a phonetic play on "Tenth Day" in Japanese) because she first met Shido on April 10th. Initially highly wary of humans, her perception of the human world gradually changed after growing closer to Shido.
The APEX Tohka Yatogami New Year Cheongsam Ver. 1/7 scale figure continues the style of its predecessor, based on a New Year illustration. It brings Tohka to life, depicted holding a plate full of mochi in one hand while busily wielding chopsticks in the other. Standing approximately 15 cm tall, she wears a form-fitting New Year cheongsam that beautifully accentuates her graceful figure. Her fair skin, flowing dark hair, and vibrant pink cheongsam combine to create a look that is both beautiful and adorable. The figure comes with a tatami mat base, a small tea table, and a pillow, all contributing to a lively festive atmosphere.
