Renowned for their large-scale statues that capture character essence and hyper-realistic details, sculpting studio Queen Studios, following their Venom release, has now unveiled a new 1/1 scale bust from MARVEL. This latest entry features the terrifying villain Carnage, also known as Cletus Kasady! This piece is scheduled to ship in Q2 2022.
Standing an imposing 74 cm tall, this Carnage bust is meticulously crafted from resin and Polystone, featuring an incredibly dynamic body, a menacing tongue, and hyper-realistic saliva that looks ready to drip at any moment. It masterfully combines violent aesthetic impact with exquisite, intricate sculpting. Its massive, frenzied eyes exude a powerful sense of intimidation, while the black symbiote tendrils surge and cling across its vibrant red body, adding rich layers of texture and depth to the piece. The base, reminiscent of their previous Venom bust, features spreading symbiote tendrils and a comic-style "CARNAGE" logo, making it incredibly fierce!
Many MARVEL fans on Queen Studios' official Facebook page have expressed a desire for an alternate, shorter tongue piece that's more faithful to the comic book depiction. However, I personally find this less common long-tongue version to be a compelling collectible in its own right. We'll have to wait and see if Queen Studios announces any further updates.
