World-renowned film and television special effects company WETA Workshop has finally revealed full sales information for its latest creation from the epic fantasy film series "The Lord of the Rings": the "The Doors of Durin" diorama. First announced recently, the piece is slated for Q4 2022 delivery.

The Doors of Durin were a gateway completed by both Dwarves and Elves during the Second Age, a time of frequent interaction between the two races. Consequently, the Doors remained open for many years. Geographically, they were located west of the Dwarven underground city of Khazad-dûm. However, due to the "War of the Elves and Sauron" in the Second Age, the Doors were sealed. Later, Khazad-dûm itself fell into ruin due to evil forces, and the method to open the Doors was almost entirely forgotten.

This piece stands approximately 29 cm tall and is designed based on its appearance in the Third Age, as depicted in "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring." It meticulously recreates the massive rock face, the sparse holly trees flanking it, and the tightly sealed Doors of Durin. Turning the diorama reveals the smooth stone door on the back, a testament to the masterful craftsmanship of the Dwarf artisan Narvi. The intricate Elvish inscription by Celebrimbor on the front is also highly detailed. But the most impressive feature, of course, is the integrated LED light-up function, perfectly replicating the magnificent scene under moonlight!
