Gofiretrain Entertainment Design, the Taiwanese team known for localizing hit tabletop games like "Munchkin," "Cutthroat Caverns," and "Dice Forge," has announced that the first-ever Traditional Chinese edition of the "Marvel: Classified Files" narrative puzzle box has launched on the WaBay crowdfunding platform, smashing its funding goal in just seven minutes. The team is now rallying fan support to bring this massive project, which involves translating over 100,000 words of text, to life.
"Marvel: Classified Files" is an interactive, physical puzzle experience fully supervised by the Marvel team. In the game, players step into the shoes of a new S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, only to be thrown into a major crisis on their first day. The Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been assassinated, Iron Man and Spider-Man are under attack, and Black Widow has been arrested by her own agency! Players must investigate from all angles and collaborate with superheroes to complete a series of puzzle missions, resolve the crisis, and save the world.
Immersive Experience with an Interactive Companion App
The physical puzzle box is paired with a companion app that authentically recreates the S.H.I.E.L.D. operating system. The app has been completely rebuilt in Traditional Chinese, ensuring a smooth and intuitive reading experience for players.
After logging into the S.H.I.E.L.D. system and creating their own unique "Agent Profile," players will be guided by the AI F.R.I.D.A.Y. to begin the game. Missions and intelligence are relayed through the app, sometimes sending players on missions directly alongside Marvel's greatest heroes to save the world.
Furthermore, the app provides access to the vast S.H.I.E.L.D. database. It even allows players to scan the real world, using AR technology to analyze clues and transmit augmented reality intel to other agents and superheroes, creating a truly immersive experience of fighting side-by-side with your favorite characters.
