The "2021 Luyao Original Toy Collection" event, bringing together numerous brands and designers, is set to kick off this Saturday (11/27) at Hall 2 of the Taichung World Trade Center. Taiwanese designer toy brand Momoco Studio (毛毛二) and painting and modeling studio Marvix.F Model Studio have teamed up to deliver an amazing sofubi toy: the "Crocodile Frog Kid - Spiky"! Let's take a closer look.
After releasing multiple resin kit versions of "Crocodile Frog Kid," Marvix.F Model Studio has now partnered with Momoco Studio. This collaboration reinterprets Marvix.F's original "Crocodile Frog Kid" character with Momoco Studio's signature "Shark Boy" worldview style, resulting in the "Crocodile Frog Kid - Spiky." This figure appears tough yet carries a touch of cuteness, and notably, this release marks the very first sofubi version for the Crocodile Frog Kid character!
Beyond the richly sculpted textures on its body, which create a rough, thick-skinned feel, the figure boasts exquisite gradient paintwork and shading effects, achieving outstanding three-dimensionality and a lifelike, organic presence. Its plump, rounded belly injects a playful charm into the overall design. Furthermore, both arms feature articulation! Toy collectors attending the 2021 Luyao Original Toy Collection shouldn't miss out!
