Bandai Spirits' Tamashii Nations collector's division recently showcased a prototype for its latest entry in the ROBOT魂 (Robot Spirits) line of mecha action figures: the "ROBOT魂 (Ka signature) Methuss Kai." This new figure hails from "Mobile Suit Z Gundam MSV," with its release date yet to be determined.
The MSA-005S Methuss Kai is a firepower-enhanced variant independently developed by the Anti-Federation organization Karaba, utilizing data on the Methuss provided by AEUG. While it retains the Methuss's simple transformation mechanism, its paint scheme has been updated to Karaba's signature teal green. Beyond strengthening various joints, the most significant modification is the addition of a "High-Output Mega Cannon" on its back, addressing the original support unit's low firepower.
The design of the "ROBOT魂 (Ka signature) Methuss Kai" is supervised by renowned mechanical designer Hajime Katoki, boasting a sharp, well-proportioned physique and a robust, armored aesthetic, complete with Ver.Ka-style markings. Compared to the version exhibited in 2015, this prototype shows a significantly higher degree of completion; however, details regarding its transformation mechanism remain unknown.
