Japanese toy manufacturer Medicos Entertainment, renowned for its popular "Super Action Statue" line, is set to release an articulated figure of the antagonist Hol Horse (ホル・ホース) from "Stardust Crusaders," the third part of the beloved manga and anime series "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure." This highly anticipated figure is scheduled for a June 2022 release.
Created by Hirohiko Araki, "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" boasts a massive fanbase. Among its many arcs, "Stardust Crusaders" ("ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 Part3 スターダストクルセイダース"), starring Jotaro Kujo, stands out as one of the most popular. This arc famously introduced and solidified the concept of "Stands" as a crucial ability for all subsequent parts of the series. The story follows Jotaro and his companions on an epic journey from Japan to Egypt, utilizing various modes of transport, all to confront Dio and save Jotaro's mother, Holly, encountering a myriad of bizarre events along the way.
Hol Horse is a significant and frequently appearing antagonist in "Stardust Crusaders," second only to DIO himself. His distinctive cowboy-like appearance, complete with spurs and a wide-brimmed hat, makes him instantly recognizable. He famously adheres to a "second-best" philosophy, often proclaiming, "It's better to be second than first." Known for his willingness to cooperate with other Stand users, Hol Horse is also quite the womanizer, claiming to have girlfriends all over the world. Despite working for DIO, his loyalty is questionable; he even attempted to assassinate DIO at one point, but ultimately serves him out of fear of his immense power.
This Super Action Statue of Hol Horse meticulously recreates his iconic look from the original manga. The figure comes with three interchangeable face plates, including one depicting him with a cigarette casually dangling from his mouth. Additional accessories include four optional hand parts (among them, hands specifically sculpted to hold his gun) and various bullet effect parts of different lengths, allowing for dynamic display options.
