Following their release of Eris, Japanese toy company Kotobukiya is set to launch a 1/8 scale PVC pre-painted figure of Roxy Migurdia from the light novel-turned-anime series "Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation." This release brings Rudeus's in-series handmade figure to life! The figure is priced at 18,700 JPY and was scheduled for release in May 2022.
"Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation" (無職転生 〜異世界行ったら本気だす〜), the Japanese light novel written by Rifujin na Magote and illustrated by Shirotaka, centers on a 34-year-old unemployed virgin and shut-in. After dying in a traffic accident, he is reincarnated into a world of swords and magic. Reborn as Rudeus, he retains his memories from his previous life and resolves to "live his new life seriously."
Roxy Migurdia, a demon from the Migurd race, appears as a petite, beautiful young girl but is actually over 30 years old. She serves as Rudeus's magic tutor, not only teaching him spells but also helping him overcome his reclusiveness and inner trauma, leading Rudeus to revere her as a goddess.
Kotobukiya's 1/8 scale PVC pre-painted figure of Roxy Migurdia stands 24.5 cm tall, meticulously recreating the Roxy statue Rudeus crafted in the series. "While seemingly a simple mage holding a staff at first glance, the figure is brimming with dynamic energy; with one leg stepping forward and the staff extended, the instantaneous motion is perfectly captured! Despite only revealing a hint of skin, a subtle sensuality emanates from her slender, far-from-voluptuous physique."
"From the back, the robe would typically obscure her curves, but the forward-stepping pose pulls the cloak taut, subtly revealing the contours of her derriere—a sight one simply can't resist! And when you take action..." The hat is detachable, and the visible seams on her outfit in the product images sparked widespread discussion upon their release. Upon the figure's actual launch, it was confirmed that, just like in the series, collectors can indeed remove parts of her clothing to reveal the pure maiden Roxy, clad only in white panties, with her chest covered by a "third hand"—though it can't quite hide the mole under her armpit... This is truly a masterpiece confirmed!!!
