FREEing, the Japanese toy company, is set to release a "Kyojuro Rengoku / Kyojuro Rengoku Complete Edition" 1/4 scale figure as part of their large-scale B-style series, based on the hugely popular "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train Arc." Both versions are slated for a December 2022 release!
Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, is a master of "Flame Breathing." Known for his optimistic, fiery personality, he possesses exceptional leadership and judgment. Despite coming from a prestigious family that practiced Flame Breathing for generations, after his mother's death, his father became despondent and neglected his training. Kyojuro diligently studied the three volumes of Flame Breathing guides passed down through his family, mastering the technique and earning his position as the Flame Hashira through his own strength. His charismatic leadership inspires trust, making him a dependable, big-brother-like figure within the Demon Slayer Corps.
The "B-style Kyojuro Rengoku" 1/4 scale figure, standing approximately 42 cm tall, meticulously recreates the intense battle scene from the series where he fought Akaza to the death. It captures the precise moment he is about to unleash his "Flame Breathing, Ninth Form: Rengoku" ultimate technique! The figure's battle-ready stance, with his body lowered and Nichirin Blade raised high, showcases the dynamic wrinkles and battle-damaged grime on his flame-patterned haori and Demon Slayer Corps uniform. His stern expression, with one eye closed due to a bleeding forehead, is also faithfully reproduced.
