TARLIN International (ターリン・インターナショナル), which took over the capsule toy business division of long-standing Japanese toy manufacturer EPOCH in July of this year, is set to release a truly amusing animal-themed capsule toy series in March 2022: the "Drunken Kong" (酔いどれコング)!
We've all had those nights where we've had a bit too much to drink, haven't we, fellow collectors? Some pass out cold, others get stuck in a loop of repeating themselves, and of course, plenty become loud and completely out of control. This new "Drunken Kong" series brilliantly captures the myriad states of human inebriation through the antics of a black gorilla! Each figure, standing at approximately 6.5 cm tall, features impressive detailing on the primate's fur. What's even better is that beyond the dynamic poses, each figure comes with various accessories—like a liquor basket, a trash can, a pile of old newspapers, and liquor bottles—to perfectly set the scene. It's absolutely hilarious!
The "Drunken Kong" capsule toy series features 5 distinct figures to collect:
- Raging Kong (大暴れコング)
- Over-Drank Kong (飲み過ぎコング)
- Good Listener Kong (聞き上手コング)
- High-Tension Kong (ハイテンションコング)
- Wasted Kong (泥酔コング)
It's worth noting that EPOCH previously released a gorilla-themed capsule toy series, "Desk Kong," which can be paired with these new Drunken Kong figures to create even more entertaining scenarios!
