Let's go camping! Renowned Japanese model developer PLUM, known for its adorable mini figures from "Laid-Back Camp△", is set to release a new character figure: the Chiaki Ogaki Season 2 Version. This charming collectible is scheduled to launch in February 2022.
"Laid-Back Camp△" (Yuru Camp△) is a manga series created by Japanese artist Afro. The story centers on the delightful daily lives of high school girls as they enjoy outdoor activities like camping, sharing camping knowledge, and cooking outdoors. The "△" at the end of the manga's title is an ideogram representing a camping tent. The second season of the anime is currently airing.
In the original story, Chiaki Ogaki serves as the president of Motosu High School's "Outdoor Activities Club." She possesses an optimistic and cheerful personality, though her academic performance isn't always stellar. Driven by her desire to go camping, she co-founded the Outdoor Activities Club (Yagai Katsudou Doukoukai) with Aoi Inuyama. Despite the club's membership never growing, Chiaki works part-time to fund club activities and constantly brainstorms ways to achieve their goals on a budget, showcasing her remarkably reliable side.
This new Chiaki Ogaki figure from PLUM is based on her appearance from the second season of the anime. Chiaki is depicted holding a frying pan in one hand and striking a cute, single-leg pose with a thumbs-up. Additionally, PLUM's official website offers an exclusive version where Chiaki Ogaki makes an adorable, innocent face with both hands forming a "three" gesture, as if admitting, "I messed up!"
