With the final episode of Marvel Studios' "Hawkeye" series airing, audiences finally got to see the terrifying arch-villain "Kingpin" Wilson Fisk, previously from Netflix's "Daredevil" series, make his return to the small screen!
We're sure everyone is impressed by his massive physique and formidable combat prowess, but how does he, a man with no superpowers, stand against various superheroes? How did he become a dreaded crime boss? And what extraordinary qualities does he possess? Let me give you, fellow toy enthusiasts, a brief introduction.

Created by American comic masters Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., Wilson Fisk came from a poor family with a drug-addicted father. From a young age, he harbored the goal of dominating the underworld and becoming a man among men, firmly believing that only immense power could achieve this dream. Thus, he began to train his body in various ways, self-learning martial arts, while simultaneously self-studying various basic academic subjects and discovering the allure and power of political science.

At just 15 years old, Wilson had already skillfully led numerous teenage gangs, becoming a regional crime boss. After briefly serving as a bodyguard for the leader of the "Maggia," a Mafia-like criminal organization in the Marvel Universe, he assassinated the person he was supposed to protect with the help of a close friend, seizing his territory and making a name for himself in both legitimate and illicit businesses.
▼Released in 2003, the Ben Affleck film version of "Daredevil" featured the formidable villain Kingpin, portrayed by renowned African-American actor Michael Clarke Duncan.

About ten years later, he finally met the love of his life, Vanessa, and within a year of their marriage, they had their son, Richard Fisk. However, his true rise to power occurred during Spider-Man's first retirement: he gathered many well-known crime bosses, proposing that they collaborate under his leadership for a massive expansion, and gained everyone's agreement. It wasn't until Peter finally returned as Spider-Man that he was ultimately defeated.

Although he occasionally suffers setbacks, Kingpin's most formidable quality is that he can never be truly defeated. Every time Wilson is dethroned, he always finds a way to restore his reputation and power. No matter how many superheroes, rival gangs, or law enforcement agencies he has to face—be it Spider-Man, Daredevil, the Punisher, or Echo, or even the betrayal of his wife and child—he always manages to make a comeback.
▼His estranged son, Richard Fisk, also known as "Rose."

Of course, he has long mastered the art of manipulation and control. For instance, he deceived Maya Lopez, "Echo," into believing Daredevil was her father's killer, prompting her to confront him; though this deception was eventually exposed.
▼ The Disney+ series "Hawkeye" paid homage to this scene.

He is particularly adept at seizing opportunities. When Daredevil became the leader of the Japanese ninja organization "The Hand" and attempted to use it for good, Kingpin not only incited other heroes to confront the corrupted Daredevil but later, with the assistance of his capable lieutenants "Typhoid Mary" and "Lady Bullseye," usurped the leadership of The Hand;

When Hydra successfully occupied the United States, Kingpin, along with many others, was trapped in a New York City shrouded in darkness, unable to escape. However, unlike others who panicked or fell into chaos, he was confident that the superheroes would eventually defeat Hydra. Based on this conviction, he began to aid the populace and win their hearts, later successfully being elected Mayor of New York!

Thanks to his lifelong training, Wilson possesses an unimaginably powerful musculature, with a physique akin to a sumo wrestler. Although he appears quite fat, and many have mocked him for it, his body composition is actually almost entirely muscle, with only a very small percentage of fat, granting him near-peak human physical strength and endurance.
Accompanying his immense strength are, of course, top-tier skills. Kingpin is proficient in martial arts including wrestling, judo, and aikido, among others. Combined with his extraordinary strength and endurance, he is capable of going toe-to-toe with Spider-Man or Captain America without his shield!
▼Kingpin can brutally beat Daredevil with his bare hands.

▼The Kingpin's physique in "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" is quite exaggerated. This Kingpin was voiced by Liev Schreiber, who played Sabretooth in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

Beyond that, what's even more formidable is his willpower. Kingpin possesses immense self-control, making him immune to the mind-control of Zebediah Killgrave, "Purple Man," and thus one of Purple Man's extremely rare adversaries.
▼Kingpin threatened Purple Man, so Purple Man commanded Kingpin to smash his own head. But he instantly broke free of the control.

▼Even as an undead being, the strong-willed Kingpin was still able to command a zombie army, aiming to invade the mainstream universe.

After years of training and struggle, Kingpin has almost reached the pinnacle of pure human potential. Now, he has married "Typhoid Mary," who possesses multiple superpowers and personalities, and even plans to seize Purple Man's abilities to pave his way to becoming President of the United States! Will Daredevil and other superheroes be able to stop him this time?
