Bandai's Gashapon brand, known for its shared joint system and infinite customization options, recently released the latest addition to its "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE" capsule toy series from "Mobile Suit Gundam." The "EX36 Gundam GP02A Physalis & Zamel" set, hailing from "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory," arrived in May 2022.
This set includes both the Federation's cutting-edge mobile suit, the Gundam GP02A Physalis, famously stolen by Zeon ace pilot Anavel Gato, and the Zeon-developed heavy long-range support mobile suit, the Zamel, which served as an escort unit during the GP02A's theft operation. Both are massive, heavy-hitting mobile suits!
The Gundam GP02A Physalis maintains the series' signature high-density detailing and features articulated shoulder binders. In addition to its massive cooling shield, capable of withstanding a nuclear blast, it also comes with a Beam Bazooka, a Nuclear Bazooka, and the back-mounted MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) for mid-range support.
The Zamel faithfully reproduces its massive skirt armor and the dust-proof joint structure of its lower body. Its main weapon, the "680mm Cannon," features an unfolding mechanism, extending to a total length of 15 cm when deployed.
