Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced the second entry in its high-end tokusatsu hero statue line, "TAMASHII STUDIO PREMIUM," with the reveal of "Ultraman Tiga -THE FINAL ODYSSEY-," slated for release in September 2022.
Ultraman Tiga is the ancient "Giant of Light" who protected Earth 30 million years ago. After defeating a dark lord, his body transformed into a stone statue, slumbering within a pyramid deep in the mountains. 30 million years later, he merged with GUTS member Daigo Madoka to once again confront the dark evil god GATANOTHOR, who threatened to destroy civilization. This series marked Tsuburaya Productions' debut of the "form change" system, allowing Tiga to switch between Multi Type for balanced power and speed, Sky Type for specialized speed and technique, and Power Type for enhanced strength and endurance.
The "TAMASHII STUDIO PREMIUM Ultraman Tiga -THE FINAL ODYSSEY-" statue is fully supervised by Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department. Standing at an imposing 67cm tall, it captures the Giant of Light in a powerful and beautiful transformation pose. The product utilizes silicone molds and polystone material to achieve intricate detailing, further enhanced by a heavy paint application that emphasizes shadows, bringing out the subtle costume seams, wrinkles, and muscle lines.
The base is designed after the ruins of the ancient city of "R'lyeh" from 30 million years ago. Six intricately detailed broken wall pieces surround Tiga, allowing for appreciation from every angle. Furthermore, the statue features a built-in LED light-up mechanism, illuminating Tiga's eyes, chest Color Timer, and the base, creating an even more immersive atmosphere!
