Bandai Spirits' Hobby Division today announced the latest addition to their "HG (High Grade)" model kit series: the "HG 1/35 Lancelot Albion" from "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2," slated for release in April 2022.
The Z-01Z Lancelot Albion is a 9th generation Knightmare Frame developed specifically for Suzaku Kururugi, the Knight of Zero. Unlike previous upgrades, the Albion features a completely redesigned airframe to accommodate its new "Energy Wing" flight system. Its structure was re-engineered based on Suzaku's past combat data, enhancing its adaptability, mobility, and weapon destructive power. When combined with Suzaku's superhuman piloting skills—fueled by the "Live On" Geass Command—the machine's full potential can be unleashed.
The "HG 1/35 Lancelot Albion" is crafted with entirely new molds, utilizing the latest engineering to recreate its sharp, intricate lines and advanced articulation. The elbow armor is designed to tuck beneath the front armor when bent, ensuring a more natural appearance and range of motion. The leg wheels are also rotatable. Its signature "Energy Wings" flight system on the back is reproduced using clear green PET sheets, and combined with flexible hip joints, allows for dynamic recreation of its iconic launch poses.
For weaponry, the kit includes two "Super VARIS" rifles, two "Maser Vibration Swords (MVS)," energy shield effects, and four sets of "Slash Harkens." The Super VARIS rifles feature an expansion gimmick to switch between Normal, Hadron Cannon, and Full Burst modes, while the four Slash Harkens can be displayed in their firing state using included metal wires.
