GOOD SMILE COMPANY's popular Nendoroid series of Q-version articulated figures today unveiled the latest entry for the beloved digital diva Hatsune Miku: the "Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Maneki Miku Ver.".
Traditionally, a "Maneki Neko" (beckoning cat) raising its left paw is said to attract customers and wealth, while one raising its right paw is believed to bring good fortune. The "Maneki Miku" design originates from a highly popular 2021 collaboration series between Hatsune Miku and Maneki Neko. The design was supervised by the Japan Maneki Neko Club, meticulously blending Miku's iconic look with the lucky cat motif. This includes her right hand raised above her ear, heterochromatic eyes (gold and silver, symbolizing "Kinme Ginme"), gold coins and glitter within a box, and various colors on her skirt each representing different blessings.
The "Nendoroid Hatsune Miku: Maneki Miku Ver." brings the collaborative illustration to life, faithfully reproducing every adorable cat-themed detail, from the large "福" (Fuku/Fortune) character to the "01" stamp hidden on her back skirt. She comes with three interchangeable face plates: a "Standard Face," a "Winking Face," and an "Excited Face."
Accessories include a "Suitcase" overflowing with senryo gold coins and "Glitter" that can be attached to the suitcase or held in her hand. Furthermore, a "Sitting Lower Body" part allows you to display her in an adorable, fortune-beckoning sitting pose, making her a charming ornament to attract good luck!
