The HOBBY Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company recently announced the upcoming release of the latest Mobile Suit to appear in the "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans G" mobile game. The HG 1/144 Sieggrune, part of the highly diverse 1/144 scale Gunpla "HG (High Grade)" series, was set for a June 2022 release.
The V07-0126 Sieggrune is a high-performance Mobile Suit developed using the Valkyria Frame during the final stages of the Calamity War. Its design concept emphasized high mobility and thrust. While initially holding great promise to turn the tide of battle, the subsequent emergence and dominance of Gundam Frame Mobile Suits on the battlefield led to the Sieggrune's extremely limited production, and it ultimately saw the end of the war without fulfilling its potential.
The "HG 1/144 Sieggrune" is built upon the previously released Valkyria Frame. It features numerous new parts to faithfully recreate its distinctive wing-like head, along with its sleek, curved armor design. The kit also includes its dedicated armaments: the "Valkyrie Stinger" (also known as Valkyria Rapier) and "Valkyrie Round Shield." A set of metallic wires is included, allowing collectors to pose the four anchors from the Valkyrie Round Shield in their deployed, firing state.
