Good Smile Company's affordable pre-painted figure series, "POP UP PARADE," continues its "Jujutsu Kaisen" lineup. Following the releases of Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki, the fourth entry, the "POP UP PARADE Satoru Gojo" PVC figure, is set to debut! Priced at 3,900 JPY, it was scheduled for release in May 2022.
Gege Akutami's manga series "Jujutsu Kaisen" (呪術廻戦) began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in 2018 and saw a massive surge in popularity after its anime adaptation premiered in October 2020. The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student with superhuman physical abilities, who accidentally swallows a cursed object—the finger of the King of Curses, Sukuna—and becomes its vessel. He then joins the Tokyo Jujutsu High, becoming a student of the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer, Satoru Gojo, alongside Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki, to fight against Curses.
Satoru Gojo hails from the Gojo family, one of the three great Jujutsu families. He first appeared as the homeroom teacher for the first-year class at Tokyo Jujutsu High and is one of only four Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers, possessing unparalleled strength. While often appearing frivolous and childish, he is also incredibly dependable. Outside of combat, he typically conceals his legendary "Six Eyes" with an eye mask or sunglasses, revealing a handsome and refined face underneath.
The "POP UP PARADE Satoru Gojo" PVC figure stands approximately 185mm tall. It faithfully recreates Gojo-sensei's long legs and understated black suit from the anime. His dignified stance, with fingers crossed and ready to unleash a technique, perfectly captures a sense of impending action. Sporting a confident smile, the figure includes not only his standard eye mask-wearing appearance but also an interchangeable head sculpt that reveals his stunning blue eyes.
