The SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT (SMP), a new evolution of the popular Super Minipla candy toy model kit series, is set to release its third wave (Vol.3) of products based on the classic robot anime "Blue Comet SPT Layzner" in June 2022. This exciting lineup will feature three distinct mecha units!
"Blue Comet SPT Layzner" is a science fiction anime series produced by Sunrise, which originally aired in 1985. The story centers on the protagonist, Eiji, a hybrid born to an Earthling father and a Gradosian mother. After discovering Grados's plans to invade Earth, Eiji pilots the combat robot Layzner, equipped with the advanced AI system Rei, to travel to Earth and warn humanity. The series then unfolds with the ensuing conflict and the journey of Eiji and his companions.

This third installment of the SMP "Blue Comet SPT Layzner" series includes three highly anticipated units: the "New Layzner" piloted by protagonist Eiji, the "Gashuran" from the antagonist's Demon Death Platoon, and the ground combat unit "Doll". Each model stands approximately 10 cm tall, making them perfect for display and play. All three units come complete with their basic armaments and articulated hand parts, offering fans a fantastic opportunity to expand their collection.
