Unleash the spirit of justice! After a long hiatus, Bandai's highly anticipated "ARMOR PLUS" series is set to re-release the previously launched "Kongo no Shu" Special Color Edition from "Yoroiden Samurai Troopers" in May 2022.

First aired in 1988, "Yoroiden Samurai Troopers" (also known as "Ronin Warriors" in the West) is a 39-episode anime series produced by the renowned Sunrise Inc. The story follows five protagonists, each possessing unique abilities and titles, who don battle armor known as "Yoroi Gear", resembling traditional Japanese samurai. They fight against the Demon Emperor Arago and his evil army.
Check out the opening theme for "Yoroiden Samurai Troopers" below:
Notably, the series' character and armor designs bear a strong resemblance to "Saint Seiya," which premiered in 1986. The theme of armored warriors was highly popular at the time, and "Yoroiden Samurai Troopers" was indeed a project influenced by "Saint Seiya," eventually becoming a classic in its own right.
Kongo no Shu, whose true name is Shu Rei Fuan, dons the orange Yoroi Gear. He is a descendant of a martial artist who came to Japan from the Sui Dynasty. His weapon is the three-section staff, the "Kongo Staff," and he utilizes the power of the earth in battle, earning him the title "Warrior of Earth." His finishing move, "Gantetsu Sai," concentrates energy to crush enemies, and upon activating his Super Dynamic mode, it transforms into "Chodando Gantetsu Sai."
This new Special Color Edition, based on the previous release, features significantly updated facial expressions, with the original sculpt completely revamped. The hair and facial nuances are entirely different from previous versions, making Shu Rei Fuan appear much more dynamic. The figure comes with three interchangeable facial expressions, and the overall armor coloring emphasizes a more metallic finish.
