Bandai's GASHAPON division, known for its "GashaPortraits" series focusing on female anime characters, is once again diving into the world of "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time." Following previous releases like the "Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition Special SET," "Special SET 02," and "Special SET 03," they are now launching an upgraded "GashaPortraits PREMIUM Evangelion Ayanami Rei" line. These premium collectible figures will feature two distinct designs and are slated for release in May 2022.
The "GashaPortraits PREMIUM Evangelion Ayanami Rei" collectible figures capture Ayanami Rei's striking long-haired appearance, as first seen in "Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time." These figures boast enhanced size and luxurious coloring. Beyond the meticulously painted EVA plugsuit, collectors will appreciate the exquisite sculpting of her flowing, leg-length hair and the delicate, translucent facial expressions. The two distinct styles include Ayanami Rei A, featuring a matte finish for her hair, and Ayanami Rei B, who is depicted holding a handmade doll and sports gradient, semi-translucent hair tips, offering a subtly different aesthetic.
