Bandai's Gashapon brand has announced the latest addition to its "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE" capsule toy series, known for its modular joint system and infinite customization options. The new "Crossbone Gundam X1 Full Cloth," hailing from "Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Steel 7," is slated for a July 2022 release.
Piloted by Tobia Arronax, the Crossbone Gundam X1 Full Cloth is a final battle specification modified from the Crossbone Gundam X1. It was developed to thwart the Jupiter Empire's "Project Divine Thunder," which aimed to devastate Earth with a super-long-range colony laser. Due to an extremely tight maintenance schedule, the unit was repaired and modified using all available Crossbone Gundam spare parts, essentially a patchwork X1 that had previously incorporated X3 components. This particular mobile suit inherits various armaments from the Crossbone Gundam X1 Kai Kai (Skull Heart). Its brand-new "Full Cloth" equipment utilizes an Anti-Beam Coating (ABC) mantle to form movable layered armor, protecting both the front and rear of the mobile suit. It also features multiple thrusters for explosive thrust and four I-Field Generators hidden within its skull components, providing complete defense against beam weapons.
The "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE Crossbone Gundam X1 Full Cloth" is based on the Crossbone Gundam X1 body previously released in the standard capsule lineup. It comes with the impressively sculpted Full Cloth and a wealth of weapon accessories, allowing collectors to recreate three distinct forms: Crossbone Gundam X1, Crossbone Gundam X1 Kai Kai, and Crossbone Gundam X1 Full Cloth. Swapping parts also enables the recreation of the heat dissipation mechanism with the mask deployed.
The extensive armament includes the Muramasa Blaster, Peacock Smasher, Buster Gun, Brand Marker (Beam Shield), Scissor Anchor, Heat Dagger, and many other accessories, enabling a wide array of dynamic battle poses!
