McFarlane Toys, the American toy manufacturer known for its affordable 7-inch "DC Multiverse" action figure line, recently officially announced details for a new character: Clayface. The figure is slated for an April 2022 release!
January 17, 2022 Update:
Clayface is one of Batman's classic villains. The most well-known iteration is the original Clayface, Basil Karlo, a B-list actor who went insane after discovering his acclaimed film, "Dread Castle," was being remade without his knowledge. He donned the Clayface costume from the movie and began a killing spree. Later, after applying an excessive amount of a rejuvenating mud compound to his body, he transformed into a monstrous mud creature.
This "DC Multiverse Clayface" figure is based on his "Rebirth" comic book appearance and is produced as a larger-than-standard MegaFig, exceeding the typical size of other DC Multiverse figures. Boasting 22 points of articulation, the figure masterfully captures both the fluid, oozing texture of wet mud and the rough, cracked appearance of dried earth across its entire body. Shadowed paint applications further enhance the surface realism and overall three-dimensionality. With its roaring facial expression and messy teeth, this rendition is truly ugly and ferocious! We're incredibly excited to get our hands on this powerfully sculpted Clayface and experience its impressive feel.
