BS STUDIO Reveals Stunning Little Witch Nobeta 1/6 Scale Painted Prototype

"The black cat will guide me... Okay, let's go!"

Hello everyone, JIE here.
Today, we're taking a close look at the painted prototype of the "Little Witch Nobeta 1/6 Scale GK Statue," brought to life by "BS STUDIO (Brother-Stacker)."

※ The item photographed in this article is a painted prototype. The final production version may have slight variations.
※ The painting process for the final product is done by hand, so individual differences in coloration may occur.
▶ Photos are affected by on-site lighting, lens distortion, and Lightroom adjustments. Please refer to the physical product for the final look and color.

▶ Photography Equipment: Nikon D700 + 105.0 mm f/2.8, Sony Xperia 1 III.

【360° Turnaround】

▲ The base consists of the rock formation; the black turntable underneath is for photography purposes.

▲ The addition of effect parts creates an incredibly dynamic pose.

▲ The back is also packed with an impressive amount of detail.

【Detail Close-Ups】

▲ Transparent parts are used to faithfully recreate the decorations on her staff and the hat's ribbon, as seen in the game's official art. The primary purple color features extensive gradients and even incorporates lighting effects from the 2D illustrations, resulting in a rich and varied color scheme.

▲ Her long, flowing hair is incredibly voluminous, with the underside catching a purple glow that reflects up from the magic circle on the base. Some seam lines are noticeable on the hair parts. We inquired about this, and BS STUDIO clarified that because this is a prototype that may need to be disassembled, some connection points are intentionally wider. These will be adjusted and refined for the final production run.

▲ The bangs fly naturally, the hair accessories aren't neglected just because they're under the hat, and the facial sculpt is flawless from every angle. BS STUDIO has also stated that higher-resolution water-slide decals will be used for the eyes in the mass-produced version.

▲ The area where sculptor Shinogi Yuko invested the most effort: the armpits.
We saw numerous reference books on anatomy and musculoskeletal structures at the studio, a testament to the incredible dedication poured into this sculpt. The painter, Megumin, has also done a masterful job, applying natural skin tones that perfectly complement the muscle definition.

▲ The clothing is also brimming with fine details. The texture and material quality of the bag look incredibly realistic.

▲ A petite, loli physique.

▲ "Little Witch Nobeta" is a very wholesome game, and no detail has been overlooked, even under her skirt.

▲ Our little witch, who is always tumbling and falling, sports a Band-Aid.

▲ The large surface area of the cape provides a perfect canvas to appreciate the three-dimensional gradients formed by multiple shades of purple.

▲ Looking for the little black cat~

▲ The intricate line work and detailed paint application on her shoes.

▲ The diorama base, with its substantial effect parts, has a commanding presence. The transparent components are made from photopolymer resin for enhanced durability.

【Freestyle Gallery】

▲ A perfect view.

▲ Magic attack (physical).

▲ I personally love the cool and confident feeling this angle conveys.

Since the reveal, the biggest point of discussion among collectors has been concerns regarding its 3D-printed production, so we asked BS STUDIO to address this:

Q1. A certain Japanese company that specializes in 3D printing has released products with noticeable layer lines, and in the past, there have been many cases of breakage, cracking, or hollow, translucent parts. As a result, many in the figure community have a negative impression of 3D printing. Can you tell us if BS STUDIO has any special production methods or techniques to avoid these issues?

A1. BS STUDIO uses the most suitable production methods and the highest-spec raw materials. We don't create hollow structures simply to save on materials. Furthermore, any layer lines generated during the process are already incredibly fine, and they become completely unnoticeable after sanding and painting.
We are also very confident in the figure's durability. However, just like any other resin statue, it cannot withstand strong impacts or drops. Therefore, we are also carefully designing the packaging for shipping to ensure the product arrives safely in the hands of every enthusiast.

...And if an accident does unfortunately occur, BS STUDIO is a Taiwan-based company for production and sales, so we will provide excellent after-sales support to assist you.

From my personal experience shooting the prototype, I couldn't detect any signs of 3D printing lines. On the contrary, the texture from the resin material and the multi-layered paint application give it the substantial weight and powerful presence of a high-end statue.

What surprised me most about Nobeta was the depiction of her muscle texture and the overall color presentation. The tension in her arm muscles, activated by her pose, is incredibly realistic, and the skin tone shading is just perfect. The vibrant colors and diverse gradients are so well-executed that when I look at the photos, they sometimes look like 3D CG renders.

However, these are also the most challenging aspects to replicate in mass production. We're rooting for BS STUDIO to successfully bring the adorable Nobeta to life!

▲ When you bring her home, be sure to find your own favorite angle to admire her from!
