Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division, TAMASHII NATIONS, has announced the latest addition to their popular S.H.Figuarts action figure line: "Trigger Dark" from "Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga," slated for release in June 2022.
Trigger Dark represents Ultraman Trigger's original form from 30 million years ago, one of the ancient Dark Giants. This powerful entity resurfaced when Trigger's body and Kengo's soul were forcibly separated by Carmeara's magic, with the overflowing dark energy restoring Trigger's physical form to Trigger Dark. After Trigger Dark's defeat, his immense power was absorbed by the treasure hunter Ignis, who can then transform into Trigger Dark using the "Dark Hyper Key" device.
The "Trigger Dark" figure stands approximately 15 cm tall and has been meticulously sculpted under the supervision of Tsuburaya Productions' Light Sculpture Studio (LSS). It masterfully recreates the character's imposing silver-white armor and the ominous, asymmetrical upper body design, capturing his formidable presence. For accessories, the figure comes with the "Circle Arms Multi-Sword Mode" and an additional hand specifically designed for Ultraman Trigger to wield the sword, allowing for shared weapon play with the separately sold "S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Trigger Multi Type" figure!
