Following the release of Asuna, KADOKAWA's collectible brand KDcolle (KADOKAWA Collection) is set to debut the "Yuuki: Summer's Shimmering Bride Ver." 1/7 scale pre-painted PVC figure from "Sword Art Online." This stunning piece is priced at 19,250 JPY and is slated for release in March 2023.
Known as the "Absolute Sword," Yuuki (ユウキ) is Konno Yuuki's avatar name in ALO (Alfheim Online) and a pivotal character in "Mother's Rosario," the seventh volume of the "Sword Art Online" light novel series. Her in-game avatar is a petite female Dark Elf, renowned as the strongest player in ALO. In reality, she is a 15-year-old girl who tragically contracted HIV from an emergency blood transfusion at birth. Despite her academic excellence, she faced discrimination and was forced to transfer schools after her carrier status was discovered. Following a relapse, she was hospitalized and became a patient participating in the Medicuboid experiment, spending most of her time in the virtual world.
The KDcolle "Yuuki: Summer's Shimmering Bride Ver." 1/7 scale pre-painted PVC figure, much like the previously released Asuna, is a three-dimensional rendition of the second-place winner from the "SAO 10th Anniversary Wedding Series" popularity poll. This special project was organized by "Dengeki G's Magazine" to commemorate "Sword Art Online's" 10th anniversary. The figure perfectly captures Yuuki as she gracefully runs across the beach in her swimsuit-style wedding dress, just as depicted in the original illustration! Her light purple veil and sheer fabric are meticulously crafted from clear materials, boldly revealing her soft, healthy skin. Her bright, infectious smile, dynamic pose, flowing skirt, and the bouquet in her hand exude a dreamy, youthful charm! Her gently swaying purple hair is vividly sculpted, showcasing Yuuki's captivating allure.
