In the world of felines, a legend is told: deep within the Glassy Wonderland lies an endless supply of canned food, a treasure coveted by every warrior cat in the land...
In their first-ever collaboration, Too Cheap Art (TCA) and the legendary PILI Puppetry are joining forces to reinterpret classic characters as adorable and hilarious cats. These iconic hand puppets are being transformed into collectible finger puppets, allowing you to stage your own epic Wulin battles right at home!
For generations of fans, PILI Puppetry has been a cultural touchstone—from nights spent secretly watching the latest episode under the covers, to dreaming of owning an authentic puppet, to reciting a character's signature verse with friends. Drawing inspiration from these shared memories, this project transforms the classic hand puppet into a finger puppet, putting the entire martial arts world in the palm of your hand!
This collaboration focuses on reinterpreting a traditional art form to introduce PILI Puppetry to a new audience, while also giving longtime fans a fresh and delightful take on their heroes. To accomplish this, we've dispatched a team of equally agile, wall-scaling, and utterly charming cats to take on the leading roles. How many can you recognize?
The full lineup features 6 characters: Su Huan-Meow, Ye Hsiao-Chai Meow, Luan-Shih Kuang-Meow, Yi Ye-Meow, Chin Chia-Meow, and a secret character (Ghost King Meow).
A standard box set contains 5 figures (in stage-themed packaging, without the secret figure, with a 10% chance of including a golden ticket) and includes: Su Huan-Meow, Ye Hsiao-Chai Meow, Luan-Shih Kuang-Meow, Yi Ye-Meow, and Chin Chia-Meow.
