The Hobby Division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, known for its diverse 1/144 scale GunPla line, the "HG (High Grade)" series, recently announced the latest product from "Mobile Suit Gundam AGE": the "HG 1/144 Gundam AGE-1 Razor & Gundam AGE-2 Artimes Set," slated for release in March 2022. This item will be sold exclusively through the official Premium Bandai online store.
These two equipment sets originate from game and MSV (Mobile Suit Variation) settings outside the main anime series. The AGE-1 Razor was developed to address the high wear-and-tear of the "Sig Blade" rapid-combat armament, improving it with large physical razor weapons. The AGE-2 Artimes, on the other hand, was designed to counter the Vagan's "Phantom Umbrella" stealth system, evolving from the Double Bullet type. Its shoulders house high-performance sensors capable of precisely analyzing cosmic dust movement to pinpoint enemy locations.
The "HG 1/144 Gundam AGE-1 Razor & Gundam AGE-2 Artimes Set" includes the AGE-1 and AGE-2 main units, along with the blue and white molded "Razor" and "Artimes" conversion parts, which were previously released as magazine appendices in 2012. This bundled re-release now also includes new marking stickers for improved color accuracy.
