Following the instant sell-out success of the Terry Bogard figure, Japanese studio STUDIO24 is back with the second entry in their "THE KING OF COLLECTORS' 24" series, based on SNK's iconic fighting games. This time, the spotlight shines on the classic villain from "Fatal Fury," Geese Howard, with a new PVC pre-painted figure. Available in both a standard color and a 2P (Player 2) colorway, each figure is priced at 16,500 JPY and is slated for release in late July 2022.
Geese Howard (ギース・ハワード) is the notorious, boss-level antagonist who first appeared in SNK's classic arcade fighting game "Fatal Fury." He is the archenemy responsible for the death of protagonists Terry and Andy Bogard's father. Geese is also the formidable leader of South Town's largest corporation, the Howard Connection, and simultaneously reigns as the undisputed king of the city's underworld. He notoriously exploits the annual "King of Fighters" tournament for illicit gains, recruiting powerful champions into his formidable ranks. Due to the immense popularity of the "Fatal Fury" series, Geese has since become a recurring and highly popular character across many of SNK's fighting game franchises.
The "THE KING OF COLLECTORS' 24 No.2 Geese Howard" figure stands approximately 19 cm tall. Sculpted by Hirofumi Inasaka, the figure masterfully combines the distinctive art style of renowned fighting game illustrator Shinkiro with in-game visuals. It perfectly captures Geese's imposing presence, his smile hinting at a touch of malevolence. The sculpt features intricate details, from the subtle lines on his face to the powerful musculature of his upper body. Delicate paintwork enhances the three-dimensional effect, and the scars on his chest and back are realistically reproduced. His partially removed kimono and hakama feature realistic fabric folds, and the necklace around his neck is crafted from real brass, lending an overall air of undeniable authority.
