Following the release of Godzilla from the latest Legendary MonsterVerse film "Godzilla vs. Kong," X-PLUS is now unleashing "DEFOREAL KONG FROM GODZILLA VS. KONG(2021)" as the newest entry in their popular DefoReal series. Produced by PLEX and X-PLUS, the DefoReal line expertly blends intricate, realistic details with adorable, stylized proportions. This new Kong figure will be available in both a Standard Edition and a Shonen RIC Limited Edition, with an anticipated release in June 2022.
Released in 2021, the American sci-fi monster film "Godzilla vs. Kong" marked the fourth installment in the Legendary MonsterVerse, pitting the two titan gods, Godzilla and Kong, against each other in a battle for the ages! The story picks up over 50 years after the Skull Island expedition, with the island's indigenous Iwi tribe now reduced to a single young girl named Jia. She shares a unique and powerful bond with Kong. To ensure Kong's survival and safety, he and his protectors embark on a journey to find his true home.
The "DEFOREAL KONG(2021)" pre-painted figure stands approximately 15 cm tall, capturing Kong's appearance from the Legendary series films in a meticulously detailed, stylized 2.5-head-tall proportion. Every aspect, from Kong's distinctive facial features and rugged fur to the battle scars on his chest, is faithfully recreated. Posed dynamically with his iconic Battle-Axe from the film, the figure exudes an imposing presence. His fierce expression, baring sharp fangs, is brought to life through realistic paintwork, conveying a true sense of a living creature. The powerful, spirited gaze is also vividly reproduced, making the entire piece radiate raw, untamed strength.
Furthermore, the Shonen RIC Limited Edition includes an added light-up feature. Kong's signature weapon, the Battle-Axe, is equipped with an internal LED light effect, emitting a menacing blue glow that perfectly evokes the intense battle scene where Kong wields Godzilla's dorsal plates against the King of the Monsters! (Requires 2 AA batteries).
