Japanese manga artist Gege Akutami's "Jujutsu Kaisen" (呪術廻戦) has exploded in popularity since its anime adaptation, becoming a JUMP superstar with fans worldwide. Following our previous feature on Italian Coser Taryn, we're excited to showcase another incredible international cosplayer! "Villain Lady," known for her dedication to cosplaying villains, not only tackled the formidable and dominant "King of Curses," Ryomen Sukuna, but also recreated his exaggerated, almost distorted expressions from the anime. Her work is a perfect blend of cool and hilariously creative – it's absolutely phenomenal!
Ryomen Sukuna is a legendary figure described in the "Chronicles of Japan" (Nihon Shoki) as a superhuman with two faces and four arms, said to have appeared in the Hida region. In modern-day Gifu Prefecture, he's even worshipped as an incarnation of the Bodhisattva Kannon, with temples housing statues of him. However, in the world of "Jujutsu Kaisen," he is depicted as the King of Curses, a Special Grade Cursed Object. His overwhelming power led to his twenty fingers being severed and sealed across Japan after his death. Even after a millennium, his mummified remains still possess immense cursed energy. Naturally cruel and bloodthirsty, Sukuna now resides within Yuji Itadori after the protagonist swallowed one of his fingers.
Showcasing a variety of stunning cosplay on her Instagram account, "Villain Lady" perfectly captures Sukuna's domineering aura with her deep, sculpted features, impossibly chiseled muscles, and slender waistline! Beyond his signature spiky orange hair, the emerging facial markings, and his four-eyed gaze, her smile truly embodies Sukuna's defiant malevolence and subtle, alluring wickedness.

Beyond her cool and regal Sukuna portrayals, Villain Lady also demonstrates incredible creativity and ingenuity by replicating Sukuna's exaggerated, almost distorted expressions from the anime – like his maniacal, "excited to the point of blur" laughter and abnormally enlarged eyes – using clever techniques such as the convex lens effect of a water glass.
