BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, known for its "METAL ROBOT Damashii" series which combines metallic paint finishes with die-cast frames, today announced the latest product from "Z-MSV": the "METAL ROBOT Damashii (Ka signature) Mass Production Type Hyaku Shiki Kai," slated for release in June 2022.
The MSR-00100S Mass Production Type Hyaku Shiki Kai is a mobile suit developed by the AEUG to mass-produce the Hyaku Shiki Kai. The original Hyaku Shiki Kai significantly improved upon several shortcomings of its prototype, the Hyaku Shiki, including a high-mobility backpack for enhanced maneuverability and agility, a larger head with improved detection capabilities, and additional hardpoints on both shoulders to mount various armaments for increased firepower. However, to boost producibility, the Mass Production Type Hyaku Shiki Kai reverted to the Hyaku Shiki's design for most parts, retaining only the Hyaku Shiki Kai's head and shoulder hardpoints. The rear stabilizers were also removed due to cost issues.
The "METAL ROBOT Damashii (Ka signature) Mass Production Type Hyaku Shiki Kai" is supervised by mechanical designer Hajime Katoki. It faithfully reproduces each characteristic feature of the design with a sharp sculpt. The lower body frame utilizes die-cast parts to ensure both articulation and durability, while the distinctive golden armor throughout the entire body is fully painted. Multiple marking decals are also applied to enhance the detailed texture.
For armaments, the figure includes a Beam Rifle, two Beam Sabers, and two Scatter Beam Bazookas. The design also reproduces the hardpoints above both shoulders, allowing for the attachment of multi-directional Beam Gatling Guns. Furthermore, both Scatter Beam Bazookas can be mounted on either side of the backpack, and the rear skirt armor features a recreation of the Beam Saber storage mechanism. Combined with its flexible full-body articulation, you can recreate dynamic battle scenes!
