The Science Ninja Team assembles! Known for their extensive line of video game character figures, Hong Kong-based action figure brand "Storm Collectibles" is set to release an all-new 1/12 scale action figure of Ken the Eagle, the leader of the Science Ninja Team and protagonist from the classic anime series "Gatchaman"! The figure is slated for a Q3 2022 release.
For many fans, "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman" (科学忍者隊ガッチャマン) remains a cherished childhood classic. Produced by Tatsunoko Production in 1972, the anime series became a cultural phenomenon, with the story of Ken the Eagle (original Japanese name: Ken Washio) leading the five Science Ninja Team members and Dr. Nambu against the evil Galactor organization sparking countless discussions. The team's iconic costumes, various gadgets, and their signature vehicles have long been prime inspiration for toy merchandise.
This Storm Collectibles Ken the Eagle figure, also in 1/12 scale, faithfully recreates his iconic white uniform as Team Leader G1. A standout feature is his majestic, eagle-like cape, which comes with three interchangeable styles. Additional accessories include five pairs of interchangeable hands, two alternate facial expressions, and Ken's signature bird-shaped boomerangs.
