Following the release of the Yuta Okkotsu "Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie" ver., Japanese toy company Kotobukiya is set to launch a new 1/8 scale figure, the "ARTFX J Suguru Geto Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie Ver." This exquisite piece, part of their "ARTFX J" series dedicated to crafting detailed anime and game character figures, will be a TOHO animation STORE exclusive. Priced at 16,500 JPY, the figure is slated for release in late September 2022.
"Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie" (劇場版 呪術廻戦 0) adapts the manga "Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School," serving as a prequel to the main "Jujutsu Kaisen" story. It centers on Yuta Okkotsu, a senior who has been frequently mentioned in the anime series. Yuta finds himself plagued by strange occurrences after his childhood friend, Rika, becomes a Special Grade Cursed Spirit and possesses him. With the help of Jujutsu Sorcerer Satoru Gojo, Yuta enrolls in Jujutsu High to learn how to control his powers and exorcise vengeful spirits. The "Night Parade of a Hundred Demons" on December 24th, teased in the trailers, is also a major highlight of the film.
The "ARTFX J Suguru Geto Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie Ver." 1/8 scale figure stands approximately 22.5 cm tall. It faithfully recreates Suguru Geto's appearance from the movie, notably before the stitched scar appeared on his forehead. Details like his slender eyebrows, sharp "phoenix" eyes, and sinister smile are perfectly captured. His large ear studs on his "lucky earlobes" and the intricate musculature of his hands are also meticulously reproduced. His flowing kasaya robe, beautifully painted, is paired with the Special Grade Cursed Tool "Playful Cloud," creating a powerful and dynamic presence! The base features an irregular, paint-splatter design, evoking the world of "Jujutsu Kaisen," and is designed to be displayed alongside other figures in the series.
