Bandai's Gashapon division, known for its highly popular and hyper-realistic shell-less eco-capsule toys, is set to unleash a brand new entry in its "Creature Encyclopedia" series: the "Scorpion" (サソリ) capsule toy. Featuring five distinct variations, each capsule will retail for 500 JPY (tax included) and is slated for a strong debut in the third week of February 2022!
The "Gashapon Scorpion" series meticulously 3D models the world's largest African Emperor Scorpion based on actual specimens, faithfully recreating its distinctive chelae (pincers), pedipalps, intricate walking legs, and the iconic telson (stinger). The lineup features a 17cm-long "Emperor Scorpion (Large)" and "Red Claw Emperor Scorpion (Large)," alongside 10cm versions of the "Emperor Scorpion (Small)" and "Red Claw Emperor Scorpion (Small)." Rounding out the collection is the formidable and highly venomous "Israeli Gold Scorpion." Each figure boasts lifelike paint applications and an impressive 35 points of articulation, allowing for dynamic tail poses to recreate their intimidating threat displays.
