The official trailer for "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" dropped yesterday during the Super Bowl, and the sheer volume of information and explosive reveals certainly lives up to its "Multiverse of Madness" title! For those who haven't seen it yet, fans can get a preview here:

In addition to the official trailer, Marvel also simultaneously released the promotional poster for "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness." While Doctor Strange is the sole focus of the poster, the background, filled with shattered glass reflections, hints at multiple characters and their various multiverse counterparts. These include Doctor Strange, Wong, Christine Palmer, Mordo, the Scarlet Witch (another key player in the multiverse), and the new character introduced in this film, America Chavez. A closer look reveals subtle differences in the characters' expressions and designs, suggesting these are indeed different multiverse versions.

While most of the above information was already present in the trailer, the bottom right corner of the poster surprisingly features the Union Jack shield wielded by Captain Carter, who debuted in the Disney+ animated series "What If...?" So, will we have the chance to see a live-action Captain Carter in "Doctor Strange 2"?
"What If...?" explores alternate timelines in the multiverse, depicting what would happen if pivotal moments in Marvel's history unfolded differently. Its first episode, "What If... Captain Carter Were the First Avenger?", tells the story of Peggy Carter taking the super-soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers, ultimately becoming Captain Carter. Furthermore, this episode also featured a suspected appearance of Shuma-Gorath, an elder god from another dimension.
Given the strong interconnectedness of this film, it's highly recommended that readers do their homework before heading to theaters for "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness." In addition to revisiting past Marvel works, you absolutely cannot miss "WandaVision," "Loki," and "What If...?" on Disney+ to fully appreciate the "madness" and "strangeness" this film promises!
