Bandai Candy, the collectible figure division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., recently announced the latest evolution in its popular "Shodo" action figure series: "Shodo XX." The inaugural release, "Shodo XX Kamen Rider Vol. 1," is slated for a June 2022 launch.
The "Shodo XX" line significantly enhances both sculpting and articulation compared to its predecessors. Each Kamen Rider figure features extensive new parts to refine its design and boasts redesigned joints for an expanded range of motion, aiming to faithfully recreate the characters' iconic suit details and dynamic poses from the show. However, due to substantial increases in raw material and other production costs, the suggested retail price for each figure will be 690 JPY + tax, a 100 JPY increase over the current "Shodo" series.
The "Shodo XX Kamen Rider Vol. 1" lineup will feature seven distinct items: Kamen Rider Black, Kamen Rider Black RX, Kamen Rider Kuuga Mighty Form, Kamen Rider Kuuga Rising Mighty Form, Kamen Rider Zero-One Rising Hopper, Kamen Rider Zero-One MetalCluster Hopper, and an Expansion Parts Set.
