Today, Bandai Spirits' Tamashii Nations collector's division announced the latest addition to their popular S.H.Figuarts action figure line: "Gallantmon -Rebirth of the Holy Knight-" from "Digimon," slated for a July 2022 release.
Gallantmon is a Holy Knight-type Ultimate Digimon and a member of the "Royal Knights." Clad in super-hard Chrome Digizoid armor, he wields a Holy Lance and Holy Shield, embodying a chivalrous spirit that values loyalty. Though he utilizes the destructive power of Virus-type Digimon to maintain order, he is considered an anomaly. His immense power, if unbalanced, could transform him into an avatar of destruction for the Digital World, marked by the dangerous "Digital Hazard" symbol etched on his chest armor. The most well-known iteration is the fusion of protagonist Takato Matsuki and Guilmon from the third anime series, "Digimon Tamers."
The "S.H.Figuarts Gallantmon -Rebirth of the Holy Knight-" features an entirely new sculpt. Compared to the D-Arts version released a decade ago, this figure boasts more human-like muscular lines. New joint mechanisms, including sliding joints in the shoulders, waist, hips, and ankles, provide a significantly wider range of articulation.
Various armor parts, the Holy Lance, and Holy Shield are finished with metallic gold, silver, and red paint to convey a sense of weighty texture. The cape material has been updated to a sewn red fabric, with internal wires along its edges allowing for dynamic posing. This enables collectors to adjust its flow and shape to match various battle stances, creating even more striking displays!
