BANDAI CANDY, the confectionery toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., today announced the upcoming release of the latest addition to its popular "Mobile Suit Gundam G-FRAME FA" series: the "Freedom Gundam & Justice Gundam Option Parts Set," scheduled to launch in June 2022.
The two popular protagonist mobile suits from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED," the Freedom Gundam and Justice Gundam, previously appeared in G-FRAME FA Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, respectively. While they featured articulated inner frames and highly detailed armor, limitations in size, insufficient articulation for certain parts, or simplified details meant they couldn't fully replicate their iconic in-show poses. This new Option Parts Set aims to address those shortcomings.
The "G-FRAME FA Freedom Gundam & Justice Gundam Option Parts Set" includes several crucial accessories for the Freedom Gundam. These include deployed "Xiphias Railguns," significantly larger and more accurately sculpted "wings," "M100 "Balaena" Plasma Beam Cannons," "beam sabers," and a "special display stand" featuring a "SEED Mode" pattern. When combined with the separately sold Freedom Gundam unit, fans can perfectly recreate its iconic Full Burst Mode.
For the Justice Gundam, the expansion parts feature two "RQM51 "Basse" Beam Boomerangs" and a larger, more detailed "Fatum-00" unmanned support unit. These allow collectors to recreate the Justice Gundam's dynamic high-mobility combat poses, standing atop the Fatum-00.
BANDAI CANDY also teased that the massive "Tactical Assault Weapon M.E.T.E.O.R. (Meteor)," a formidable anti-ship and anti-fortress weapon usable by both mobile suits, will also be joining the G-FRAME FA lineup. Further details are expected to be announced soon.
