Released in 1984 and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, the classic Japanese animated film "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" (風の谷のナウシカ) depicts a world where a once-flourishing industrial civilization collapsed after the "Seven Days of Fire" war, leaving the surface poisoned and past civilizations in ruins. A millennium later, the world is covered by the "Sea of Corruption," and surviving humans on fragmented land must contend with its miasma-emitting forests and mutated giant insects.
Within this world, the "Toriuma" (トリウマ) serves as a vital mode of transportation. These highly intelligent, giant flightless birds resemble extinct terror birds, with atrophied wings and powerful legs. They have developed a symbiotic relationship with humans, capable of carrying people and cargo at speeds comparable to horses.

The "Takeya Shiki Jizai Okimono KT-035 Toriuma (Kushana's Royal Guard Ver.) Articulated Figure" stands approximately 18 cm tall, with Takayuki Takeya serving as the overall sculpting director. It meticulously recreates the Toriuma's distinctive large beak, long neck, and powerful legs. The intricate feather details covering its body are exquisitely sculpted, and the figure boasts an impressive 41 points of articulation, significantly enhancing its poseability to capture dynamic scenes from the film. Its head and neck feature robust, armored plating with a substantial metallic finish, revealing charming jewel-green eyes peering from beneath the visor.

The large beak features an opening and closing mechanism, allowing for a tongue-out pose.

The neck incorporates nine ball joints, seamlessly integrated with the feather design, enabling a wide range of free movement.

The legs feature 13 points of articulation, supporting a variety of poses. The claws are also finely articulated, allowing for dynamic gripping and powerful running stances, firmly planted on the ground.
