BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division, known for its diverse lineup of 1/144 scale Gunpla, today announced the latest addition to the "HG (High Grade)" series: the "HG 1/144 Gundam Heavyarms Custom" from "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing," slated for a June 2022 release.
The XXXG-01H2 Gundam Heavyarms Custom is an upgraded version of the Gundam Heavyarms, modified for late-story space combat. It features additional thrusters on its backpack and waist to enhance maneuverability in space. Its signature main weapon, the Beam Gatling Gun, has also been upgraded to a double-barreled specification, significantly boosting its firepower. The internal missile launchers and machine guns remain unchanged.
The "HG 1/144 Gundam Heavyarms Custom" builds upon the 2020 release of the Gundam Heavyarms, incorporating numerous new parts to faithfully recreate the backpack with added thrusters, the front, rear, and side skirt armor, and the more powerful double-barreled Beam Gatling Gun. Other features remain consistent with the original Gundam Heavyarms, allowing for the deployment of the right arm's army knife and the opening of the shoulder, chest, and leg hatches to recreate its iconic "Full Open Attack" pose.
