I'm excited to share an unboxing of the Molly Steampunk Animal Motorcycle Series, a long-awaited restock that I finally managed to get my hands on.
I've been following this series since its initial promotional video release, but I missed out on the first drop due to a busy schedule before the Lunar New Year. As soon as news of the post-holiday restock broke, I rushed to a blind box machine to try my luck and pulled two figures. This series is a collaboration with artist Koji Kamada, making it an absolute must-have for any collector. The two I managed to get are the Fennec Fox and the Goat.

This collaboration was brought to life by Koji Kamada, who is undoubtedly one of the foremost figures in punk-style art. He's renowned for his sculptural works that masterfully blend animal motifs with steampunk elements. I personally find this collaboration between Molly and Koji Kamada to be incredibly stunning, adorable, and exquisitely detailed. Each figure even comes with its own backstory, embodying the fantastical mechanical devices characteristic of steampunk and conveying Kamada's artistic vision. What I love most is the consistent Baroque aesthetic across the entire series. Coupled with my personal fondness for motorcycles, I'm definitely aiming to collect the complete set.

Each pull from the blind box machine cost 450, which I think is a very reasonable price for such a high-quality collaboration. Many department stores have official blind box machines where you can try your luck. I'll definitely be slowly collecting the rest of the set. The chase (secret) figure is an alligator, and I really want it!
It's truly impressive how Molly's intricacy and playful design have reached new heights with this series.
Beyond Molly's design and the motorcycles themselves, a thoughtful detail is the magnetic attachment feature between the figure's abdomen and the bike, ensuring Molly stays securely seated and doesn't fall off during display (which I'm sure Molly appreciates!). Furthermore, the display base now includes a small peg that locks the motorcycle in place, preventing it from toppling over. This design makes the series even more collectible! It's not just the artistic value; these user-friendly design choices enhance the overall collecting experience. Products that perfectly balance aesthetics and practicality are truly rare.

Now, let the pictures do the talking, and let's admire the art-like quality of the Molly Steampunk Animal Motorcycle Series together!

On the left is the Fennec Fox, and on the right is the Goat. The Fennec Fox sports a flight cap that matches its blue-bodied motorcycle, adorned with intricate animal patterns. Meanwhile, the Goat wears a black top hat while riding its red motorcycle.

The hats themselves are incredibly detailed, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship. From the hat's structure to the ears and goggles, no detail has been overlooked. For instance, the Fennec Fox's cap even features sculpted stitching, adding to its exquisite finish!

Both characters' goggles are blue, but with varying shades, and are so realistically designed they almost look detachable. The ear details on the Fennec Fox's cap are also exceptionally well-executed, with fur textures so lifelike you'd expect them to feel soft to the touch. It's likely named "Fennec Fox" due to the vivid and accurate contours of its ears! The Goat's horns aren't just simple folds; a closer look reveals each segment is composed of two distinct lines!

The Fennec Fox Molly looks ready to traverse the American Midwest on its bike, complete with a hip pouch, and even has painted fox whiskers on its face for an added touch of whimsy. The Goat Molly, in its purple skirt, has a flowing silhouette, reminiscent of a little witch transforming her broom into a motorcycle to chase after mischievous cat companions.

While the overall design of the motorcycles is similar, the differences lie in the intricate details, such as tire thickness, exhaust pipe placement, and headlight colors. Notably, the wheels on these bikes are functional and can spin, meaning this series offers not only collectible value but also playability! It's truly an outstanding series!
