Unleash the Sky! BANDAI's long-awaited ARMOR PLUS series is set to re-release the previously launched "Ronin Warriors" Tenku no Touma Special Color Edition in July 2022.
First aired in 1988, "Ronin Warriors" (Yoroiden Samurai Troopers) is a 39-episode anime produced by the renowned SUNRISE studio. The story follows five protagonists, each with distinct abilities and titles, who don battle armor known as "Yoroi Gear", resembling traditional Japanese samurai armor. They fight against the evil forces led by the demonic emperor Arago.

Notably, the series' protagonist and armor designs bear a strong resemblance to "Saint Seiya," which aired in 1986. The theme of humans donning armor for battle was highly popular at the time, and "Ronin Warriors" was indeed conceived under the influence of "Saint Seiya," eventually becoming a classic in its own right.
Clad in deep blue Yoroi Gear, Tenku no Touma, whose real name is Toma Hashiba, hails from Osaka Prefecture. His surname suggests he is a descendant of the Taikō-Kanpaku Hideyoshi Hashiba. His primary weapon is the Shōha Bow, and his signature move is the "Shinkuha" (Vacuum Wave), which gathers atmospheric energy to unleash a powerful shot. After awakening his "Chōdandō" (Super Dynamic) power, this technique evolves into the "Chōdandō Shinkuha" (Super Dynamic Vacuum Wave). He is also known as the "Warrior of the Sky," and his hobbies include Go and Shogi.
This new Special Color Edition of Tenku no Touma, re-released based on the original version, features significantly enhanced and revised facial expressions. The hair color has been updated, and the pupils utilize a two-color printing technique. Accessories include multiple expression parts, interchangeable left and right hand parts, and his signature bow. The overall armor coloring is richer than before, with an increased emphasis on its metallic sheen.
