Pilder, COMBINE! Japanese toy company EVOLUTION TOY is set to release a Pilder Set (パイルダーセット) for its METAL ACTION series, featuring the iconic combining vehicles from the classic anime "Mazinger Z"! This set is scheduled for release in June 2022.
Created by the renowned manga artist Go Nagai, "Mazinger Z" (マジンガーＺ) is a beloved classic and a cherished childhood memory for many. The series first debuted in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in February 1972, followed by its anime adaptation airing on television in October of the same year. It later garnered immense popularity worldwide, achieving astonishing viewership ratings of up to 80% in European countries like Spain and Italy (where a large Mazinger Z statue was even erected), a testament to its enduring appeal.
This Metal Action Pilder Set from EVOLUTION TOY includes three distinct Pilders: the original Hover Pilder (ホバーパイルダー) from the early "Mazinger Z" series, the later Jet Pilder (ジェットパイルダー), and the Brain Condor (ブレーンコンドル) from "Great Mazinger." Despite their small size, all three are constructed with die-cast metal and come with a dedicated display stand. What's more, these three Pilders can combine with EVOLUTION TOY's own GABN series Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger figures, adding a unique play feature!
