Following the popular "HG Jujutsu Kaisen 01" series, Bandai's Gashapon division is back with another collection of exquisitely sculpted, compact character capsule toys. This time, they're diving into the world of "Jujutsu Kaisen 0 The Movie" with the "Jujutsu Kaisen 0 The Movie HG 02" Gashapon series. This set features four distinct figures, priced at 500 JPY per capsule, and was released in the fourth week of March 2022.
"Jujutsu Kaisen 0 The Movie" (劇場版 呪術廻戦 0) is a film adaptation of the manga "Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School," serving as a prequel to the main "Jujutsu Kaisen" story. It centers on Yuta Okkotsu, a senior who has been mentioned multiple times in the anime. Yuta is haunted by his childhood friend Rika, who became a Special Grade Cursed Spirit, leading to unusual incidents constantly occurring around him. The story culminates in the "Night Parade of a Hundred Demons" on December 24th, where Yuta confronts the curse user Suguru Geto, who seeks to claim Rika's Cursed Spirit.
The "Jujutsu Kaisen 0 The Movie HG 02" Gashapon figures faithfully recreate the characters' designs from the film in a compact size, ranging from 93mm to 110mm, while retaining intricate details. This wave features four students from Tokyo Jujutsu High who played pivotal roles in the movie: Yuta Okkotsu, Maki Zenin, Toge Inumaki, and Panda. Primarily depicted in their Jujutsu High uniforms, the simple designs are complemented by dynamic poses that capture each character's personality, making them vibrant additions to any collection!
